Capacity Building – Train the Trainer Course

From 09th–13th February, NSCS staff, together with participants from other partner agencies, attended a ‘Train the Trainer’ course delivered by the Australian International Intelligence Training Program in Port Vila. The intensive program provided practical techniques and strategies to enhance training delivery, enabling participants to engage learners more effectively and strengthen knowledge transfer across their respective organisations.

The training outcomes are reflected in the NSCS Business Plan and staff workplans, particularly in the delivery of targeted security training and awareness programs.

By strengthening staff capabilities alongside inter-agency counterparts, the initiative contributes to more coordinated and consistent training approaches.

Beyond improving technical training skills, the program promotes a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within NSCS and among participating agencies.

Attendees are now equipped with new techniques to design and deliver sessions that better prepare public service colleagues and stakeholders with critical skills and awareness related to national security operations.

Investment in people remains fundamental to the NSCS’ approach to national security. Through sustained capacity building and professional development including collaboration with partner agencies, NSCS staff are better positioned to respond to evolving challenges and deliver high-quality training that contributes to a safer and more resilient nation.
