From 8–12 September in Port Vila, the United Kingdom Defence Academy hosted a workshop on Managing Defence in the Wider Security Context. The event brought together key national security stakeholders, including representatives from the Vanuatu Police Force (Maritime Wing and Vanuatu Mobile force), Fisheries, Internal Affairs, Correctional Services, Immigration, Foreign Affairs, and the National Security Secretariat.
The workshop strengthened collaboration and understanding across agencies, highlighting the importance of a united approach to Vanuatu’s security challenges. A special acknowledgment goes to all national security focal points for their active participation and commitment. Gratitude is also extended to the Government of the United Kingdom for its partnership and support in building Vanuatu’s security capacity.
