NSCS Holds Successful Focal Point Meeting with Security Agencies

Port Vila, 3 September 2025 - The National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS) successfully convened its Focal Point Meeting with key national security and sectoral agencies to strengthen coordination and enhance collective response to security challenges.

The meeting brought together representatives from the National Intelligence Unit, the Vanuatu Mobile Force, and the Police Maritime Wing of the Vanuatu Police Force (VPF), the Department of Labour, the Ministry of Health, the Vanuatu Maritime Safety Authority, the Department of Fisheries, the Vanuatu Meteorology and Geohazards Department, and the Department of Tourism.

Discussions focused on current security issues, operational updates, and opportunities for greater collaboration across government institutions. Agencies shared insights on sector-specific challenges and highlighted areas requiring joint support.

The NSCS seizes this opportunity to thanks all participants and agencies represented during this meeting for their constructive engagement and reaffirmed the importance of regular dialogue to ensure a unified and resilient approach to national security.
