Background

The overall security of a nation is intimately linked to economic stability, resource efficiency, good governance and social cohesion. The Vanuatu National Security Council (NSC) was established through the enactment of the National Security Act No. 41 of 2029, to strengthen national security and address evolving security challenges. As Vanuatu’s primary security advisory body, the NSC coordinates efforts to protect sovereignty, ensure public safety, and foster regional and international security collaboration.
